Japanese house and living rooms are designed in a very good way keeping different things in mind. The aspect that is given the first priority is the color selection of walls and sealing. In Japanese tradition such colors are used that are quite closer to the nature. Such things that can divert the attention of a viewer are not included in the living room decoration. It is tried to make living room simple and elegant. No extra stuff is allowed in living room.

Japanese Bedroom Designing:

First thing that has to be considered is your flooring. Traditional tatami mat flooring can be used because for bare feet this is a great mat. These Japanese style mats have to be prepared according to dimensions of the room. You can use a hard mat and above that mat you can put a layer of tatami mat to make it a yoga mat.

Now after considering flooring of the room, furniture has to be considered that is supposed to be placed in bedroom. The Japanese design bed does not have a headboard or a footboard. The platform of the bed is extended and the mattress rests in the middle of the bed leaving all space empty. Silk pillows can be used along with Japanese beds to give a better look to the room.
As for as the lightening is concerned, shoji style lamps can be the best one for a room. The panels of these lamps are very good in order to produce warm lighting in the room. Shoji doors are normally used in place of French doors that will give a complete Japanese look to the room. In Japanese styles it is recommended to use low size side bed tables. It is recommended to keep the tables in proportion to the height of bed.

Aspects involved in Feng Shui Décor:

There is a great systematic way of decorating the interior of a house and that is called Feng Shui way of decorating. This is basically a Chinese designing style that works under the entire field and keeps in view all the elements that have to consider while doing interior designing of a house. Geographical, astrological, religious and mathematical aspects are kept in view while decorating a house by using Feng Shui method. Using all these aspects define the relaxation a person can get. This system is used to design the interior of a house in such a way that it provides relaxation and comfort to all the house members and also brings peace of mind.

There are different rules that have been defined by Feng Shui but the biggest and the most prominent rule of all is to create a harmony between nature and human beings. So if you will keep natural things in your mind while decorating your house then you will be able to get more relaxation. Having natural thins like plants in your house can help you to get good visual imprints that will leave positive effects on your mind.

What is sake?

Most of the people have no or very less knowledge about sake and have no idea how it can be made. There is a concept that sake is a rice wine that is prepared by using rice. Though this statement is true to some extent but it is not 100% true. Yes sake is made with the help of rice but it is not a wine though it gives a taste and enjoyment just like a wine. Sake can be prepared from different types of rice while on the other hand wine has to prepare by grapes. The polishing of rice is basically called sake and its taste also depends upon the polishing of rice. Almost 90 different type of flavors can be made of sake by using 90 different types of rice. However the most important point in taste of sake is the polishing of rice.

In polishing of rice sand, flour or water is used. The rice is milled along with flour, water or sand to polish them. In this process the outer coating of rice is removed. The quality and price of the sake is determined by the percentage of rice used in it. In a low quality bottle only 30% rice is used while good quality sake may have up to 70% of rice consumption.

History of Ramen

If we look into history of Ramen then it is originated from China but when it was introduced in Japan, is not clear yet. There can be a big debate on word Ramen only as many people believe that it is a pronunciation of a Chinese word which means hand pulled noodles. There is another theory about the history of Ramen which tell that ramen was first known as noodles that were cooked in thick sauce.

Before 1950 and even in the same year it was known as Shina soba though in some regions is known as chuka soba as well.

Original concept:

Raw fish or raw seafood is called sashimi in Japan and since for an outsider these names may sound like quite familiar so sushi and sashimi are often merged with each other. If Japanese dictionary is seen then the meanings of sushi and sashimi are totally different but interlinked with each other.

Sushi Types:

Sushi has different types that are described below.

• Nigirizushi: In this form the topping of the rice is made of rice clumps that are hand made. Topping is just a part of the recipe, it has also got vinegared rice. Different types of seafood, vegetables and eggs are also added in this recipe. Overall he recipe of sushi is completely healthful.
• Makizushi: This is another type of sushi that is rolled inside nori. Nori is a dried and completely pressed layer of sheets that are made of seaweeds. In this recipe seaweed, fish, vegetable, rice and vinegar are used. Then the combination is rolled over for eating purpose.

First Manga character:

It was in 1814 when first manga character was introduced and it was known as Hokusai Manga. This character was used in a sketch book series that was made by a Japanese artist; Hokusai. All the sketches that were introduced in this series were of different objects and monsters like of Monsters, God, Mountains, Birds and flowers etc. These sketches were quire inter related with each other. Those sketches that were representing manga in the sketch books of Hokusai are not the same manga characters that we see today in comic books. Hokusai’s manga were complete sketch characters however the manga that we see today in drawing style are due to the influence of western traditions.

Anime were introduced quite late after introduction of manga. It was 1980’s when the Japanese audience saw anime characters for the first time. These were animated characters and that is why they were called anime. Anime concept was welcomed and accepted by public and that is why in 1990’s and especially in 2000’s the anime concept of Japan reached all over the world. Today these anime series are broadcasted all over the world. The best example of a good anime series is dragon ball Z that is not only famous in Japan but it is also shown and seen in USA, Australia, Canada, Europe, South Africa and even in other Asian countries.

Most of the Japanese art and Chinese art is inspired from Buddhism because most of the people who believe in Buddhism are found in these regions of the world. Buddhism was started from India and then great Buddha migrated to this region of world to bring more peace, harmony and spiritualism in his life. Most of the art pieces in Japanese art are inspired from that time in history.

Skill level:

The value of a skillful person can be determined by the level of his skills. In Japanese art tradition, brush painting by using black ink only is considered as the high skill of an artist. In such painting every dot and every line is alive and telling a story even if a space is left blank then it has also got some meaning. Different objects in an art piece are made and visualized with the help of black ink only. This is really a great art because without colors it is not easy to distinguish between different objects. In Japanese art this is done perfectly

Sento:

Sento is the most commonly an easily available public bathroom. These bathrooms are spread all over Japan and can be found and accessed by anyone. The best thing about these bathrooms is that being public bathrooms, these are not dirty or less luxuriate bathrooms. A person using these bathrooms will feel like using bathroom in house or many people will don’t even have such luxury bathroom in their house too. There is a trend in Japan to bring bathing box, shaving kit and tooth brush along with you in Sento. A person can easily take bath, make his shave and clean his teeth. A minimal admission fees has to be applied and after that warmth experience of water is waiting for you.

Onsen:

 Onsen are such public bathing rooms that provide with more luxury as compared to sento. These are not like bathrooms in fact these look like a resort. Since more luxury is provided by these bathrooms so admission fee is quite high as well. Bathing tubs along with beautiful bathing basins and large mirrors welcome a person who comes to take bath in onsen.

What is a Karaoke party?

As described above, in karaoke party the participants try to enjoy themselves by singing songs that are played on back tape in the hall. The more loudly and badly you sing the song the better. Isn’t it strange? But still it is a tradition and such parties are organized all over Japan. Not only that now such karaoke parties are also organized in different parts of the world as well. Competition is held between different contestants to see who can sing more loudly and more badly. This concept has got so much fame that there are many karaoke bars opened up in Japan and different parts of America.

Initially this idea may seem hilarious and awe full to someone but the true essence of such karaoke party can be achieved by participating init and singing like a cat screaming in street or squeezing nails on the chalk board. No matter how bad a person can sing, these parties are made to enjoy and relax and this goal can be achieved perfectly by such parties. This is just a sight of old Japanese culture and description about how Japanese people have not only made progress but they have also kept their traditions high.
